09/14/11The eighth day of the AYCJ journey was spent in Boston, Massachusetts.
The eighth day of the AYCJ journey was spent in Boston, Massachusetts.
The seventh day of AYCJ last year was spent in Providence and Boston.
The sixth day of AYCJ last year was spent exploring Plymouth and Cape Cod.
Back in 2007, the Today Show on NBC added a fourth hour to their morning show with co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. I had the opportunity to sit in the audience when they had their show outside in April 2008. Richard Simmons made an appearance and was available for photos. Here are a few photos of their opening segment and of the set.
The fifth day of AYCJ was an emotional day spent walking around the perimeter of Ground Zero in New York after flying from Richmond, Virginia.
The fourth day of AYCJ last year was full of stuff to see. After a second redeye flight, I made my way to the Virginia State Capitol.
The third day of the journey began by flying west from JFK. With little sleep during my first night on Hotel JetBlue, I made my way to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in Burbank, California. The afternoon was spent waiting for the show and meeting other audience members. It was worth the wait.
The second day of the AYCJ journey started in Salem, Oregon. It was the first State Capitol of what would be fifteen I would visit.
On the first day of my journey, I flew to Long Beach. Before JetBlue, I had never heard of this city. Transportation was cheap, easy to use once I found it, and a bit slow.
