Remembering AYCJ: Day 24
The twenty-fourth day of the AYCJ journey last year started in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a packed day.
I went back to see Temple Square in more detail after the tour the night before.
After lunch, I walked a couple of blocks up to the Utah State Capitol. It was the twelfth capitol I saw during the month long journey, and the biggest I’ve ever seen.
It was retrofitted in 2004 to withstand seismic activity and was full of patterns that played with the mind.
On the way back down the hill, I came across Brigham Young Historic Park. It was a relaxing place to stop and enjoy.
I took a tour of the Convention Center as the sun disappeared into the horizon.
As night approached it was an amazing view from the rooftop.
I had only a few minutes to watch an evening rehearsal before I rushed back to the airport for a redeye flight to JFK.
