Doubling up towards an epic win
It was a beautiful morning at the America’s Cup Park in San Francisco compared to yesterday. As I held my spot at the fence next to the bay, I took the time to hack on one of my projects.
In no time, the support boats were heading out to the race course to set up.
The San Francisco Fire Department’s fireboat passed by.
The Oracle Team went out to the race course. One of their team members rode the sail up as they prepared for the race.
The New Zealand team followed behind.
Smile, you’re on tv!
The teams practiced.
Helicopters performed their stunt to get the crowd excited.
As race time approached, the crowd swelled.
And then the first race started. Team Oracle led the race.
If it wasn’t clearly obvious where the finish line was, a large banner announced the spot right in front of us.
The crowds got even larger as the boats approached the finish line.
Oracle continued holding the lead position as they rounded the last corner.
And Team Orcale won another race!
They passed by the crowd who cheered loudly.
The second race was also easily won with Oracle leading with a distance for most of the race.

The Kiwis flew by, but just didn’t have everything working in their favor to capture the final point that would earn them the cup.
The America hoisted the American flag as the Oracle team celebrated their victory.
Afterwards, I went to the poster signing area.
Passing by the Senses, I spotted yet another boat stowed in the middle.
