Goldstone #DSN: Introductions
After the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Open Air Museum, we headed back inside to start the NASA Social. John Yembrick (@yembrick) and Jason Townsend (@jtowns) started the introductions off.
The Goldstone Deep Space Network NASA Social is the 44th social media event where NASA has invited followers of NASA to their facilities. Jason Townsend, Deputy Social Media Manager, said that these events are a very important part of the Office of Communications because it is what makes the online community so awesome, connecting the online community offline and in person, sharing what NASA has going on throughout their facilities, and the missions, people, programs and projects. It also makes a government organization seem a little more human.
