Remembering AYCJ: Day 30

The thirtieth day of the AYCJ journey last year was spent in Chicago, Illinois. Knowing I only had a few hours left, I started out early to get every last minute. There are so many interesting things to see and do. This fountain was fascinating to watch as it changed.

I went up in the Willis Tower and was awed by the view of Chicago.

And the glass floor that extended beyond the side of the building got the heart beating. Photo

On the way back to the hostel to get my bags, I stopped off at Buckingham Fountain. There was a great view of the Chicago skyline.

It was off to the airport for the final two flights back home. On the first flight, JetBlue’s television had a new episode of Mythbusters on. It was pretty awesome that it was this episode that I got the opportunity to participate in a few months before. It was a little difficult to see me on such a small screen.

The final flight home was both a relief that I would be home after an action-packed month of travelling, and sadness that it was all over.

I will never forget crewmember Andriana, who responded to my note letting the crew know a little about my AYCJ journey. She was pretty quick and funny informing me of her stats flying on JetBlue.  I think she was a little competitive and wanted to show me how much she flew.

And that was my journey of 30 days. I look forward to the future and the possibility that another opportunity to travel will arise. Until then, there are plenty of other places to share.
