Delaware Legislative Hall
The ninth state capitol I visited was in Dover, Delaware. Legislative Hall is a Georgian Revival colonial structure, built in 1931.
The Delaware House of Representatives is composed of 41 members, each representing about 22,000 people, and elected every two years.
The Delaware Senate is composed of 21 members, each representing about 42,000 people, and elected every two years.
The central stairs to the second floor are as simple as much of the building.
The Governor’s office was cordoned off, but was a much brighter place.
Outside is one of the replicas of the Liberty Bell.
