Day 13: Syracuse and Niagara Falls

Completing the circuit between Buffalo and Syracuse, we began the day in Syracuse. You can walk through the Frank Buchanan Thomson at the Erie Canal Museum. This museum is in the old weightlock building.

Near Buffalo, Niagara Falls is breathtaking and amazing. The power of the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls is only apparent when you’re feet from the edge. With a number of spots to view the falls from, it’s worth taking a few hours just staring at them.

At night, from the Canadian side, you can view the falls in color. They light up the falls in different colors that change frequently.

Take some time to explore Niagara Falls from both the U.S. and the Canadian side. The toll across the Rainbow bridge is $3.25 and border control is on either side. There is a wider variety ofrestaurantson the Canadian side. You can walk along thegourgeand see both falls in their entirity.
